A revolution of kindness

It’s easy to get aggravated.

I get it. Chances are you’ve had someone .. do something .. that felt badly. (Even a small thing.)

But here’s the thing.

After time has passed, and you’ve processed the emotion, staying angry eventually becomes a choice.

Does holding onto this serve you?

Does it bring you towards freedom & happiness?

I increasingly think being kind .. is fierce.

I think it’s revolutionary. An act of freedom.

What if, after everything we’ve been through the past few years, you could emerge .. and be kind? What if you chose to be thoughtful? Even sweet?

It feels liberating to me. And pretty badass.

I write you as someone cultivating mindfulness. Which today - makes you a revolutionary hero. What if we banded together, us mindfulness peoples, and created a revolution of kindness? What if we choose to be thoughtful, and to let things go, even when people aren’t kind to us?

I invite you to practice this today. In a non-obvious moment, to a non-obvious person. Because it is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength.

So when someone says or does something you don’t love, you can choose .. as an active decision .. to be kind. Because that’s your freedom. And choice.

And because it’s not an act of weakness .. but of strength.

With love,
Dina
